University of Aberdeen in its own words
Modified Multiple Mini Interview, in person at the Suttie Centre, Foresterhill Health Campus, approximately 1 hour per candidate. Aberdeen names five MBChB station domains: motivation to study medicine, core qualities, critical thinking & problem solving, team work, and professionalism. It lists the same five for Gateway2Medicine and a separate list of seven for the BDS, and tells candidates that no reading is required during the interviews. Aberdeen's interview page says the number of stations depends on the course and sends candidates to its 'Coming to Interview' page for the numbers and domains; that page names the domains but never puts an MBChB station count in words.
When interviews run
Aberdeen publishes an interview window of December to March. It also publishes specific dates, which are in the quotation below. Those are the school's allocation, not yours, until you are invited.
Aberdeen on its interview timing
Aberdeen publishes two different windows on its own site: its interview page says 'Interviews are conducted between December and March using a modified Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) format', while its application-process timeline says 'November - March: Top candidates interviewed'. Stations are five minutes each with two selectors, and the whole MMI lasts about an hour. The only dated slots published are still 2026-entry ones - MBChB in person at the Suttie Centre, Foresterhill, 15-19 December 2025 - so Aberdeen has not yet posted 2027-entry dates. Candidates are invited by email and book a slot; no alternative dates are offered.
