Which Medical and Dental Schools Use an MMI

44 of the 68 courses we track name an MMI. 6 name a panel. 14 name neither, and that is a fact about the schools rather than a gap in this page.

Every list of this kind you will find elsewhere is a list of the schools that say so, with the rest left out. That is the part that matters: a school missing from a list is indistinguishable from a school nobody checked, and a student who assumes an MMI because a list did not say otherwise prepares for the wrong day.

So all 68 courses are below, in five groups, each one built by reading the school's own published wording rather than a summary of it. Where a school has not said, this page says that.

Run an MMI: 44 courses

The school names a Multiple Mini Interview: a circuit of short, independent stations, usually scored by a different assessor at each one.

Run both an MMI and a panel: 4 courses

The school publishes two formats, usually split by fee status. Which one you sit depends on which group you are in, so read the school's own wording before preparing for either.

Run a panel interview: 6 courses

One continuous conversation with more than one interviewer, rather than a circuit. It rewards a coherent, sustained answer instead of the ability to reset between unrelated tasks.

Describe an interview but never name the format: 10 courses

The school sets out what the day involves without ever writing MMI or panel. There is real detail to prepare against; there is just no label on it, so do not assume one.

Publish nothing about the format: 4 courses

We read the school's own admissions pages and they do not describe the interview at all. Anything you find elsewhere for these schools has not been confirmed against a page the school publishes.

How much of this is actually published

Format is only one of the five things a candidate needs before an interview. The others are how many stations there are, how long a station lasts, whether it is online or on campus, and when it runs. Across the 68 courses that is 328 separate facts, counting only the ones that apply to each school, since a panel has no stations.

161 of those are published and 167 are not. 9 courses publish every one that applies to it. 4 courses publish none of them. Each school's own page below says which group it is in and links to the university page we read it from.
