Worcester states that most shortlisted applicants scored more than 1870 on the UCAT, but gives the maximum as 3020. No version of the UCAT has had a 3,020 maximum: the current test is out of 2,700 and the previous one 3,600. The 1870 figure is therefore not reproduced here, because the page does not make it possible to say which scale it belongs to, and on one of those scales it is near the national average while on the other it is well below. Confirm with admissions before treating it as a target.

For context, the UCAT Consortium's own 2026 statistics report a mean cognitive score of 1918 (out of 2,700) across 42,359 tests, with the median (5th decile) at 1920 and the top decile at 2250+. This is a national figure, not University of Worcester's own threshold, since University of Worcester doesn't publish one for the current cycle.

It states it has no hard cut-off score because the bar depends on the shape of that year's curve of applicants, but it does give a figure to aim at: "most shortlisted applicant scored more than 50 on GAMSAT (maximum 73) or 1870 on UCAT (maximum 3020)" - note that 3020 is Worcester's own arithmetic, not a UCAT scale that exists. Test validity differs by test: GAMSAT is valid for two years, the UCAT for one. There is an extra hurdle worth planning for: every shortlisted applicant must then sit CASPer, a separate online situational judgement assessment run by Altus, so the aptitude testing does not end with the UCAT. Applicants without a science or healthcare degree also need two science GCSEs at grade C or above. There is no residency restriction - "You can apply to study with us wherever you live" - and the deadline for home students is 15 October 2026 for 2027 entry. Always confirm against the official page before applying, since this is the most recent published position rather than a guarantee for the live cycle.
