Medical and Dental School Interview Dates

37 of the 68 courses we track publish interview months you can plan around, and they run as late as July. The rest either say they will not publish dates or have never put a window in writing, and this page keeps those two apart.

Almost every guide to this says the season runs November to March. Read against what the schools themselves publish, that is wrong at both ends, and it is wrong in the direction that costs a student an interview: it ends the season early. Everything below is built from each school's own published wording.

15 courses still publish something from a cycle that has closed

These sentences are the schools' own. Each names a year or an entry cycle that is not the one you are applying in, and each was still on the school's page when we last read it. We have not rolled any of them forward into this cycle, because a school that has not restated a date has not committed to it.

Aberdeen Dentistry

  • Aberdeen's BDS application timeline states 'Nov - March: Top 60 candidates interviewed', and it publishes dated slots - for 2026 entry, 3-8 December 2025 at the Dental School, Foresterhill.

Aberdeen Medicine

  • The only dated slots published are still 2026-entry ones - MBChB in person at the Suttie Centre, Foresterhill, 15-19 December 2025 - so Aberdeen has not yet posted 2027-entry dates.

Birmingham Medicine

  • Birmingham labels this format as applying to 2026 entry.

Bristol Dentistry

  • Interviews run on various dates between December and February; the window Bristol currently publishes is December 2025 to February 2026.

Bristol Medicine

  • The interview dates on that page still read December 2025 to February 2026, so its timings describe the 2026-entry cycle.

Brunel Medicine

  • Brunel states that interviews for 2026/27 entry are scheduled between December 2025 and July 2026, which is the longest published interview window in this directory.

Dundee Medicine

  • (the admissions-statistics page cited previously contains none of this).

Kent and Medway Medicine

  • Note that the KMMS page prints the year on those dates as 2025, which does not fit a 2027-entry cycle; treat the days as indicative and confirm the year with KMMS.

King's Dentistry

  • In previous years the format was in-person Multiple Mini Interviews with six interviewers.
  • Interviews are conducted remotely with a panel of two interviewers; in previous years they took the form of in-person MMIs with six interviewers.

King's Medicine

  • A King's admissions FAQ from July 2023 (for 2024 entry) described an online MMI with 7 stations, one question per station each, but this has not been reconfirmed for the current cycle and no live King's medicine page repeats it.
  • Treat as historical, not current.

Leeds Medicine

  • Leeds does not publish the number of stations, minutes per station, or interviewers per station on its own course pages; figures for these found elsewhere during this audit came only from third-party tutoring sites and are not confirmed against Leeds's own material.

Plymouth Dentistry

  • The station count carries no cycle label on Plymouth's page: the 2024 admissions cycle is named only in a separate sentence about interviews being held online, so it is the delivery mode rather than the station count that has gone unrestated for a later cycle.
  • Plymouth's statement that interviews are delivered online via Zoom is tied on its page to the 2024 admissions cycle ('We will be completing all interviews in the 2024 admissions cycle online via zoom') and has not been restated for a later cycle, so the delivery mode should not be relied on as current.

Sheffield Dentistry

  • The 23 to 27 February 2026 dates still on its 2026-entry page belong to the completed cycle.

St Andrews Medicine

  • For 2026 entry St Andrews stated that Home-funded applicants attend in person at St Andrews while all other fee statuses interview online; it has not restated that split for 2027.

St George's Medicine

  • No interview dates for 2027 entry appear on the medicine course page or the school's selection process page; City St George's does publish its UCAT cut-off scores during the cycle once all invitations have gone out, and says it has interviewed approximately 800 to 1,200 applicants in previous years.

6 courses say they do not publish dates

This is the school's own position, not a gap in our research. It is worth knowing before you plan around a season you assume ends in March.

1 courses write about timing without naming a month

There is a sentence about when interviews happen, but nothing in it you could put in a calendar. Their own wording is on each school's page.

24 courses have no window on any page we read

Nothing published, and nothing we can report beyond that. This is the group where a date you find on a forum is most tempting and least checkable.

Before you book anything

A published window is the school telling you when it expects to interview, not an allocation to you. Several schools here publish exact dates and still allocate slots by invitation, so a date on a university page is a range to stay free rather than an appointment.
