GCSE: minimum of seven at grade 4/C or above, to include English, Maths and two sciences at minimum grade 6/B, achieved at the point of application, since predicted GCSE grades are not accepted.

BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science is considered at DDM alongside an A-level in Chemistry or Biology at grade A, and Access to HE courses are considered where the core content is pure science. Work experience in a dental setting is desirable rather than required, which Portsmouth explains by acknowledging how hard such placements are to obtain.
