University of Leeds has not published a fixed UCAT cut-off for 2027 entry. Here's how UCAT, A-levels, SJT and the interview all fit together for dentistry.

- Leeds does not currently impose a UCAT cut-off score. Applications are assessed against academic criteria (achieved and predicted grades) together with the UCAT score to determine who is invited to interview; no numeric weighting formula is published.

- Leeds names the Situational Judgement Test as one of the UCAT's four components on the page covering all three of its UCAT-requiring courses, including Dental Surgery BChD, but does not publish a separate SJT band or cut-off specific to dentistry.
- A-level requirements
- Standard offer AAA including Biology and Chemistry, excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking, with a pass required in the practical element of any science A-levels. GCSE: a minimum of six at grade 6/B or higher, including Chemistry, Biology or Dual Science, English and Maths.

- Resits
- One resit attempt is accepted, and evidence of all resit predicted and achieved grades must be provided in the UCAS application, so an undeclared resit is a problem in itself.
- Personal statement
- A hard gate, and the harshest consequence attached to a personal statement anywhere in this dataset. Leeds accepts only statements relevant to dentistry and states that if the statement is not relevant to dentistry the application will not be considered at all. An applicant splitting their five choices between medicine and dentistry cannot satisfy this with one statement. Mitigating circumstances must also be included there.
What the UCAT had to be, 2026 entry
University of Leeds does not publish one.

Leeds sets no pre-determined cut-off for dentistry. It combines achieved and predicted grades with the UCAT into a single ranking total and states that a strong academic score can compensate for a weaker UCAT and the reverse.
