Standard offer AAA including Chemistry and Biology/Human Biology; a combination of three sciences is equally acceptable at A-level. Contextual offer AAB and UK refugee or care-experienced offer ABB, on the same subject terms. GCSEs: at least seven at grade 7/A or above, including English Language, Mathematics and at least two science subjects at a minimum of grade 6/B.

Resits

University of Manchester publishes no resit policy. That is not the same as resits being accepted, and it is worth asking admissions directly before relying on either reading.

Manchester's dentistry pages state: 'You will be required to write a personal statement as part of your UCAS application, which will be used in the admissions process. The admissions team reserves the right to review your personal statement at any stage of the admissions process.' A positive claim of use, with no stage or score attached to it.

For 2026 entry the threshold was 2200/2700, dropping to 2100 for widening participation applicants, and the mean UCAT rose from 2054 across all applicants to 2240 among those shortlisted, a jump of 186 marks. Home applicants had a 32% chance of interview and a 43% chance of an offer once interviewed; overseas applicants 27% and 24%, so overseas is markedly harder after interview as well as before it. Manchester's older thresholds were 2820, 2810 and 2800 out of 3,600 for 2024, 2023 and 2022, and for 2025 it set a band of 2840-2950 depending on SJT band.

This is a national figure, not University of Manchester's own threshold, since University of Manchester doesn't publish one for the current cycle.
