- University of Lancashire publishes no resit policy. That is not the same as resits being accepted, and it is worth asking admissions directly before relying on either reading.
- Personal statement
- The University of Lancashire publishes nothing about the personal statement for the graduate-entry BDS. Its Selection procedure section names every input it does use - the UCAT score, which ranks applications before interview; an academic reference from a course leader, personal tutor or project supervisor; a verification of prior learning form; and the MMI - and the personal statement is not among them. The phrase does not appear anywhere on the course page.
What the UCAT had to be, 2026 entry

This is a national figure, not University of Lancashire's own threshold, since University of Lancashire doesn't publish one for the current cycle.

Worth knowing: This BDS is a four-year graduate entry pathway with direct entry into year 2, so it is not a school-leaver option, but A-levels still matter: the University of Lancashire requires 3 A-levels at grade C or above alongside a 2:1 degree in a Biomedical discipline, at least two of them from Biology, Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics, with General Studies not counted. GCSE English and Maths at grade B are also required, and BTEC Extended Diplomas are not accepted. The UCAT is required and is used to rank applications before interview, with the highest scoring applicants invited; no threshold is published. Unusually for a dental school, the interview dates are fixed and published in advance: interviews for 2027 entry will be held on Monday 14 December 2026 and Tuesday 15 December 2026, and the university states "No other interview dates will be held." The format is a series of MMIs covering communication skills, knowledge of dentistry, ethics, professionalism and team working; whether they run online or at Preston Campus is still to be confirmed. There is also a separate verification of prior learning form, which must be completed by Thursday 15 October 2026 for September 2027 entry and is easy to miss. Always confirm against the official page before applying, since this is the most recent published position rather than a guarantee for the live cycle.
