Medicine Interview Course
From Invite to Offer is one programme for medicine and dentistry. A medical school interview expects you to know how doctors work with the rest of the team, what the GMC asks of a medical student, and the pressures on the NHS you would train in, so medicine has its own videos inside it. Teaching you how not to speak like a robot.
36 of 51 medicine courses name an MMI.
That is from each medicine course in our directory, read on the school's own admissions pages. A further 3 publish both an MMI and a panel, and 2 name a panel only. 9 describe the day without naming a format, and one course publishes nothing about the format at all. So the seminars and the content mocks are built around the MMI.
The medical team, the GMC and the NHS for a future doctor.
These come in a medical version, made separately from the dental one. With the shared guides on every kind of station, a medicine applicant gets 22 video guides for their course, released through the programme.
The roles around a doctor, from nurses and pharmacists to physiotherapists and healthcare assistants, and how they work together.
What the GMC expects of medical students and doctors, and how medical schools bring it into their stations.
How the NHS looks from the medical side, and the pressures a doctor will work under.
Know what the regulator expects before a station tests it.
"The GMC and Good Medical Practice" is one of the medicine videos. In the question bank, 145 of the 259 model answers cite a page on the GMC's own site, so when an answer says what a doctor or a medical student is expected to do, you can check where that comes from.
Ethics, the NHS, current issues and professionalism.
197 of the bank's 259 questions are for every applicant, and the other 62 are dentistry's own. Leaving out the topics written about dentistry, these are the ones the shared questions cover in the stations a medical interview uses to find out how you think. Every question comes with a model answer and the follow-up an interviewer asks, inside the programme.
