AAA including Biology and Chemistry and one other subject; A*A*B or A*AB is also accepted where Biology and Chemistry are at grade A or above and the third subject at B or above. General Studies, Critical Reasoning, Citizenship and Key Skills are not accepted. Widening participation candidates are routed to the six-year MBChB with Foundation Year rather than given a lower offer. GCSEs: at least five at grade B/6 or above at the time of application, including Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics; Double Science at 6-6 is accepted in place of the separate sciences.

Resits

Edge Hill does not set out a resit policy as such, but a recency rule does most of the same work: "All A Level qualifications, or accepted equivalents, must have been obtained within the two years prior to application." Resits are referred to only once, and discouragingly, in the Access route: "Access courses taken in place of resitting A-levels are not recommended."

Any candidate scoring within band 4 in the Situational Judgement Test is automatically rejected.
