University of Glasgow has not published a fixed UCAT cut-off for 2027 entry. Here's how UCAT, A-levels, SJT and the interview all fit together for medicine.

- Neither resits nor extra time in examinations are accepted, which together is the strictest position found in this dataset. Glasgow also declines to offer repeat interviews to candidates who feel they underperformed, reserving them for serious technical failures.
- Personal statement
- Two different answers at two different stages. Before interview the statement counts: Glasgow says applications are considered "with the focus on academic qualifications obtained and predicted, personal statement and reference", and interviews are allocated only to those meeting "all other screening aspects (e.g. minimum academic requirements and satisfactory personal statement and reference)". At interview it counts for nothing: Glasgow tells candidates to revisit their statement beforehand while noting in the same breath that "interviewers have no knowledge about you other than your name".

Glasgow sets three different thresholds by domicile for 2026 entry and the spread is 280 marks: 1870/2700 for Scottish applicants, 1990 for the rest of the UK, and 2150 for international and EU. The 1870 held here is the Scottish figure, deliberately the lowest of the three so that no applicant is wrongly told they are blocked, but an applicant from England should read their own bar as 1990. Glasgow will not know its 2027 thresholds until November 2026 and does not publish them until the cycle closes in September 2027.

Glasgow splits its table three ways - Scots Domiciled (post-2020), Rest of UK, and International & EU (post-2020) - and the rest-of-UK column is the harsher one: 491 rest-of-UK applications produced 123 offers against 942 Scottish applications producing 499. The entrants column is Glasgow's own, headed Intake, on a table titled Admissions data for new entrants to Year 1 MBChB. Glasgow labels the column 2025 rather than 2025 entry, and publishes 2022 to 2025 side by side in one document.

For context, the UCAT Consortium's own 2026 statistics report a mean cognitive score of 1918 (out of 2,700) across 42,359 tests, with the median (5th decile) at 1920 and the top decile at 2250+. This is a national figure, not University of Glasgow's own threshold, since University of Glasgow doesn't publish one for the current cycle.
