Worth knowing: Sunderland selects on deciles rather than a raw score: the UCAT must fall in the top 8 deciles of the cohort, with the Situational Judgement Test in bands 1 to 3. The unusual part is the interview selection tool, a separate survey issued after the application arrives in which a candidate lists up to four work experiences from the past two years and gives contact details for the most significant one. It feeds the shortlisting decision alongside the academic screen and the UCAT, and it has its own deadline of 6pm on 22 October 2026, so an applicant who ignores it can be filtered out before anything else is read. Interviews are face-to-face MMIs from the week commencing 7 December 2026, and can include role play and data analysis stations as well as a traditional one-to-one. Always confirm against the official page before applying, since this is the most recent published position rather than a guarantee for the live cycle.
