- Resits
- Harder than it first appears. Applicants who have taken more than two years to complete three A-levels must apply after completing them, with achieved grades rather than predictions, which costs a full cycle. Anyone who has not achieved the required A-levels within three years is not considered at all. Applicants in a third year of A-level study are not considered unless they already hold the required grades and are adding subjects.

- Keele scores the personal statement. Home applicants are ranked on a combination of UCAT and personal statement scores, so the statement carries direct weight in whether an interview happens at all. International applicants are shortlisted on UCAT ranking alone.

Keele states a hard minimum rather than a ranking cutpoint: a total of at least 1700/2700 for home applicants and 1950 for international, in both cases with an SJT result in bands 1 to 3, so a band 4 ends the application regardless of the total. Keele publishes no means or medians. Keele attaches no entry year to these minimums, stating them as standing requirements on its live entry-requirements page; the only cycle reference on that page is a worked example that still reads “October 2025 for 2026 entry”.
Earlier cycles are not shown because the UCAT maximum changed from 3,600 to 2,700 when Abstract Reasoning was removed. A threshold from before that is a different unit, not a higher standard. Keele University application data, checked 2026-09-13.
